Luke 12:15
"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth."
Jesus was asked a question concerning an inheritance. He answered by speaking a parable unto them concerning The ground of a certain rich man. The ground brought forth plenty and there was no more room to bestow his fruits so the rich man decided to pull downs his barns and build greater. He was going to take ease, eat, drink and be merry. He died that night. Someone was going to get all the things that he had gained on earth but he wasn't. The most important possession that we have is our souls. The things of this world are temporary and will come to an end. After we breathe our last breath, we will either be separated from God eternally because we have not repented and accepted His Son Jesus as our Saviour or we shall forever be with the Lord because we have repented and believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ and been faithful unto death. Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Trust in the Lord, be content, enjoy what the Lord is doing for you and I and remember that our Saviour Jesus Christ has all power in Heaven and in earth. Have a blessed Monday my Friends. (As I said at Church yesterday, it is not to early to say Merry Christmas)
