Verses to Ponder

Ezekiel 22:30 "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Ezekiel writes in the previous verses, beginning at verse 23, what the Lord said about the land Ezekiel was in. Many wicked and false things were happening and the people were affected. The Lord was seeking for one to make up the hedge: ( a hedge separates or surrounds for defense) and stand in the gap ( a gap is a weak point or breach ). The enemy (our adversary the devil) is doing everything in his power to destroy the lives of our youth, families, communities, country and individuals. We as Christians need to be willing and prepared to stand strong in the Lord and be a hedge against sinful things that are destroying lives and make up the the weak point in others when they seem to be so beaten down. As we all know, you may be the only one that may be able to show the love and grace of God by His Son Jesus to others. Have a blessed Thursday my Friends.

Luke 7:22-23

22. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

23. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Offended means to displease. Two of John's disciples came to Jesus and asked Him, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? (That is when He answers in verses 22 and 23.) My thoughts are these: I am not offended by what Christ has done and still does for others that believe upon Him. I am not offended when Jesus shows me mercy and forgiveness. I am not offended when my prayers are answered concerning my family. I am not offended when Jesus blesses those in the Church. I am not offended when He still takes care of those who cannot take care of themselves. I am not offended in the Blessed and Holy Name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Last verse, Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Stand Strong in the Lord and Have a Blessed Tuesday my Friends.

Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The Virgin Birth of Jesus, the death of Him willingly at Calvary, the power of His resurrection, this has made it possible for all who will repent of their sins and believe the Gospel to be saved. ("For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13) We can live our life on this earth with our faith rooted and grounded in the only begotten Son of God knowing that Heaven will be our Home for ever. I hope each one has a blessed Monday.
