Verse to Ponder 1/26/26 (Luke 22:69)

As I continue through each chapter of the book of Luke, we find that in this chapter Judas will betray Christ with a kiss. Jesus has his disciples prepare for the Passover and institutes the Lord’s supper. Jesus goes into the Garden of Gethsemane and prays in agony and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood. Also, Peter denies knowing Jesus but remembers the words of the Lord how he said unto him, “Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.” Jesus is mocked, blindfolded and struck in the face and they spake blasphemously against Him. The elders, chief priests and the scribes came together and asked Jesus, “Art thou the Christ?” Jesus said unto them, “If I tell you, ye will not believe:” The verse I am thinking about is Luke 22:69, “Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.” The devil tried with all his power to destroy Jesus and the hope that Jesus brings by His sacrifice on the Cross and His resurrection. Jesus went and died willingly for each and everyone. He rose from the dead and overcame death, hell, and the grave. Jesus is now sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercessions. Jesus has the power to forgive sin and make a sinner a new creature in Him. Jesus has all power in Heaven and in Earth and the devil can’t do anything about it. Praise God. Have a Blessed Monday my Friends and continue to pray for those that are lost that they will believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Pastor Shayne Monday
