Verse to Ponder 1/30/26 Luke 24:6
“He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee.” In the last chapter of Luke is the account of The Resurrection of Jesus, the appearance of Jesus on the Road to Emmaus, the appearance of Jesus to the eleven Disciples and others in Jerusalem, and His Ascension into Heaven. The Word of God is sure and true. Jesus said in verse 46, “Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Jesus was born of a Virgin, walked on this earth that was made by Him, taught, preached and performed miracles, suffered the death of the Cross, rose the third day and went back into Heaven. Why did the Father send His only begotten Son to do all these things? Why did Jesus say I will not leave you comfortless?(John 14:14) [ “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”(John 14:26)] These things were done that Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10) What a merciful and longsuffering God He is toward us but He promised to come back and when He does we need to be ready and faithful if Heaven is going to be our Eternal Home. Have a blessed Friday my Friends.
